In June 2010 St. Paul’s was awarded it’s 1st green flag for ‘Litter and Waste’.
Litter and waste are substantial environmental issues. Each year Local Authorities spend millions of euro’s cleaning up the environment due to our individual and collective behaviour and lack of responsibility towards litter. All pupils and parents took part in a clean up of the school grounds and surrounding areas as well as some ‘Spring’ planting as part of the Green School Programme.
