Great Excitement at our School as our Teacher, Mr. Hutton Brings Home the Cup
There was great excitement in our school on Wednesday, Nov. 12th when our teacher, Mr. Hutton, Captain of the Mungret/St. Paul’s Senior Football Team, arrived carrying the cup from the Final of the Football Championship on Sunday, November 9th. He was joined by team members Colin Rochford, Ciarán Uwatse and Jason Hasset who are also past pupils of our school including Team Manager, Kevin O’Hagan.
History was made as this is the first time Mungret/St Paul’s have won this Football Championship.
Students and staff gathered in the hall to celebrate the trophy’s arrival. The atmosphere was filled with cheers and applause as Mr. Hutton proudly held up the up. Each class had the opportunity to have their photograph taken with the team members and the cup, marking a proud moment for the entire school community.
Mr. Walsh, Mr Tuohy, Mr. Hutton and Mungret/St Paul’s Team Manager, Kevin O’Hagan gave a short speech to everyone in the hall.
Mr. Hutton encouraged pupils to keep playing at sport, it’s very important for your health and making life long friends.
